makin' money...doing nothing!

This really isn't THAT big of a deal...but I am super-excited...

I just logged in to my cafe press account, which I set up back in August...and I have made $15.80!!! I only set up a free account, which limits you to offering each item with only one design. Basically, I set it up out of curiosity...uploaded a few photos...played around with setting up merchandise and pricing...and that was it. It was really easy to do, and you set the prices above the base price based on how much profit you want to make. I tried to keep prices low, I pretty much only make about $2.00 per item. But for just forgetting about it, and collecting the cash...I can't complain.

I sold this BBQ apron, two mousepads, a refrigerator magnet, a jr. spaghetti tank top, a framed tile, a blank journal, and a baby bib...all with the strawberry design. Apparently, that one is much more popular than the other two:

I didn't expect to sell anything...there are SO many designs available on cafe press...that I didn't think mine would really catch any one's eye. But there are LOTS of shoppers, and just the time to open it payed off.

I recommend that anyone who doesn't already have a shop, should set one up. It is free, quick, and easy. You never know who might want to buy your stuff.

If anybody does set up a store, I would really appreciate it if you used me as your referrer, that would really help me out A LOT. Just click the button below:

Or enter my shop ID, which is "sometrouble" when you are signing up.

To visit my store you can always click the link over in the sidebar (next to the strawberry)...or here's one more shameless plug...

Ok...one last thing...I added a little link at the bottom of my sidebar. It is an experiment. I can earn money by people clicking that link to visit CafePress...so if you want to shop...please go through there. I am going to leave it up for a while, and see if it does any good. I really don't want to clutter this place up with ads, though.
