The biggest thing I'm obsessing about right now is the weather...can you tell?

It looks like it will be a few degrees warmer next week...but rainy. Pray for good weather!

looks like Michigan is getting ready to welcome us seattlites with some of of our own weather! The rain follows us wherever we go...

Hope the weather takes a nice turn to complete sun! For your sake and mine! It's going to be finally heating up around here right when I leave for MI!

and now, your weather report

posted by sometrouble @ 5:07 PM | Test Category Two | Tuesday, May 09, 2006

I can only get a 10 day forcast through Thursday May 18th at this point. Here's what it looks like today for the city we will be having our reception in...

weather
The city of the ceremony looks just as bleak...even though it is 45 minutes away. Let's hope the weather forcasters are wrong!
I guess I should be happy...the average highs and lows for May are 68 F and 45 F. The record low was 22 F and the record high was 92 F...I don't think I'd want that either.

living situation

As time before the wedding got shorter and shorter, we abandoned the idea of finding and closing on a house with enough time to move in a be somewhat settled before the big day. Instead, we spoke with Chad's uncle who has a house with a vacant upstairs flat. It is in a pretty cool old neighborhood, and within walking distance to downtown Royal Oak. I am pretty excited about the location...and excited to have something planned for sure. As it started sinking in though, I realized it is going to be close quarters...and that I'm sure I will be tired of such a small space very soon. But for now, I am thrilled about it, and can't wait to move in. I think I'm going to start carting some necessities over there this weekend...mainly for the reason, that the next two weeks will be very busy with my cousins flying in, and whatnot. I don't want to spend the last few days before the wedding frantically trying to get the place livable. We are entering into this with "short term" in mind. That means, there are alot of things we will try to get by without. I am going to have to resist my creative urges to decorate...since it will all be changing (hopefully) in a few months. My grandmother decided she wanted new furniture, and has generously given us her 6 year old couch, which is in very good shape. We are supposed to move it Monday...I hope we can get it up the stairs without too much trouble. She also gave us a lazy-boy chair, which I have always loved sitting in. Unfortunately, I believe the uncle has a "no pets policy" so we will not be able to get a cat until we get our own place. Hopefully, I will not get too lonely in the evenings by myself when Chad is at work. I can't believe it...only two more weeks!

so excited!!!

posted by sometrouble @ 9:32 AM | Test Category Two | Monday, May 01, 2006

I can't believe we've only got less than three weeks left! It seemed always so far away...now it is right on top of me. I am really getting excited now. Mom and Oma had a shower for me yesterday...it was very nice. Last night I couldn't sleep at all, I looked at the clock after 4:30 AM and still wasn't asleep. I can't wait to see my cousins from Seattle...two of them are standing up in my wedding...and I heard from the third yesterday that she is trying to swing coming out too! I am stressing too, about getting everything done...it seems like everyday that goes by freaks me out a little more. And, in three weeks...I will be living away from "home" and having way more adult responsibilities...eek. :o)
All day long, I think of little things I need to do...and I just want to run away from work and go get them done. I feel trapped here...and I'm left with only a few hours in the evening to accomplish everything. I shouldn't take any more time off work, cause I don't get paid unless I'm here...but I have a feeling I won't be here the full 40 hours for the next two weeks.
I hope I can sleep tomorrow night...I guess sooner or later, I will be so weary that I will have to get some sleep...I just hope it is restful.
